Description: In 2006 two major organizations, The Federation of American Scientists and FutureLab, released reports covering how games and learning offer great potential to their respective nation's educational systems. These reports which garnered substantial media attention represent some of the more comprehensive pieces of public advocacy and policy advice for games-based learning. This session offers a look at each report but asks of their sponsors and the Serious Games Summit audience: - What Now? - How do we build on both the findings and momentum of each report to generate new success either in the general advocacy for serious games or by implementing any of their specific suggestions? - What new work of similar style, substance, and attention is needed?
