Visual Arts, Lecture

Paul Hormis
Owner, HYPERbolic Enterprises
In this workshop we discuss the overall theory about how to automate the rigging process (or any other process), including the importance, but not necessarily the need, of maxscripting. We also cover the importance of setting up a correct figure pose using biped (or a bone system). The following is shown as well: Rigging automated rigging of two characters (male and female); How to use the automated cg-human setup script to create muscles on a biped (for the whole character or parts of a character - for example if you only need to do the arms); How to edit the muscles after they are created; How to automate the set up for eyes and eyelid deformation. This session wraps up by describing the importance of automation and how it can have an effect of all parts of production.
