Production, Lecture

Jonathan Newth
CEO, Kuju
With the ever increasing scope of projects, decreasing timescales and proliferation of platforms the single team monolithic development process is coming under increasing strain. This presentation looks at one mechanism which goes some way to addressing these challenges: multi-site (multi-vendor) development. Specifically we will be looking at development which sits above the outsourcing of sets of assets, but below the subcontracting of an entire sku. The session will start by looking at reasons for considering this sort of multi-site development and then will move on to discuss the challenges posed by this structure by drawing on experience gained within Kuju over a couple of significant recent real life projects.

Attendees will leave the session with a clear idea of when multi-site development should be considered and how to structure and set up multi-site projects to succeed.

This session would most benefit those who are facing the challenges of ever growing teams and shortening deadlines who are looking for alternative structures for delivering challenging projects. This will include producers, project managers and team leaders as well as business managers from aspirant indi-developers and acquisitions managers within publishers.
