It's a market that, according to analyst firm Research & Markets, is set to be worth USD$1.56BN by 2015. For mobile game developers worldwide, China is a huge opportunity for revenue and growth - and it's only going to get bigger. However, international developers entering the Chinese market must pay close attention to a variety of cultural and commercial differences, including the various monetisation models in play. Chris Hanage, general manager for EMEA of PapayaMobile, will identify and explain these differences, and provide insight for developers on how to properly launch their game or app and achieve success in China.

Takeaway
As a China-based company with offices in Europe and the U.S., Papaya has unique insight into launching mobile games in China. This session will provide attendees with important data and developer case studies, plus valuable hints, tips and guidance into the Chinese mobile games market, its challenges and how to overcome them.

Intended Audience
This presentation is aimed at mobile developers of every size - from independent third party developers all the way up to global publishers who have a mobile app or game that they wish to launch, market or promote in China.

Speaker
Chris Hanage | General Manager for EMEA, PapayaMobile
As general manager for EMEA, Chris is responsible for driving Papaya's engagement with app and game developers of all sizes, to grow the Papaya business and encourage uptake of AppFlood (http://appflood.com/), its commission-free cross promotion network for Android developers. Chris began his career in magazine and digital publishing before moving to mobile games. Chris is a well-known face in the UK mobile industry, having spent the past six years working with a number of mobile content-focused companies. Before joining Papaya, he was business development director at Momac, a leading provider of mobile portal solutions for operators and enterprises. Prior to that, he held senior sales and business development roles at mobile games companies InfoSpace, PlayerX and Synergenix. Mobile distribution and monetisation company PapayaMobile provides software tools for Android developers to create freemium mobile social games. Papaya hosts these games on its self-titled mobile social network, for sharing with over 78 million Papaya members worldwide. Papaya is also the company behind AppFlood, a mobile advertising and cross-promotion network for Android and iOS developers who want to buy, sell and exchange users for free. Rather than lose 40% to traditional mobile ad networks, app and game developers can buy and sell installs on AppFlood, the only 100% freemium mobile ad network. Alternatively, developers without marketing budgets can cross-promote each other's advertising with other AppFlood connected apps to receive new users for free. AppFlood launched in July of 2012 and has over 3,000 developers using its services every day.
