Speakers
Roland IJzermans | Owner, Sparpweed
Sparpweed is a two-man game studio from Rotterdam, The Netherlands. We are Roland IJzermans and Richard Boeser. Roland developed an early passion for computer graphics in elementary school and converted paper sketches into sprites for the C64. He further developed his drawing techniques and computer skills during high-school, and chose the most art-heavy Masters study he could find: Industrial Design at Delft University of Technology. After graduating, Roland joined the ranks at Guerrilla Games as a concept artist.

Richard Boeser | Sparpweed
Sparpweed is a two-man game studio from Rotterdam, The Netherlands. We are Roland IJzermans and Richard Boeser. Richard loved to draw elaborate mazes and at a later age built custom pixel villas in SimCity2000. He never thought that 'game designer' was a job you could actually get. Like Roland he studied Industrial Design and like Roland he decided to focus his graduation project on game design.
