More and more, the television has become the second screen in households. Families are having individual experiences with their primary devices (mobiles & tablets) while 'watching' television. What does this mean for broadcasters? How do we leverage the user's behaviours and leanings towards interactive content to provide high quality storytelling? How do we deliver this 'on the go'? BBC Children has been at the forefront of providing TV branded games in the desktop and mobile space. This session will look at our strategy, the areas we are investigating and how we aim to make games that are amazing experiences for our audiences.

Takeaway
Takeaways will include insight into the areas that the BBC is looking at in the near-future, knowledge of the opportunities available for collaboration, and user metrics that detail the behaviours of our audience (e.g. Children like snackable content, of 400 games in the Children's portfolio none have an average playtime of over 10 minutes).

Intended Audience
The session is aimed game development agencies and software houses that have skills in mobile/tablet development - both apps and the mobile web. It will contain really useful information about user behaviours and approaches for other disciplines. No prerequisite knowledge is necessary.
