Description
The non-profit Pew Research Centers Internet & American Life Project recently completed two studies of gamers, one on teens and one on adults. This presentation will focus mainly on teenagers and look in detail at the demographics of the gaming market, hardware use and game genres. The study also addresses the question: Do games isolate youth from friends and community? The answer is a firm no. The study shows that games connect youth to friends and may connect them to their offline communities and political life. Attendees will walk away with a detailed view of the youth gaming market and potential new pro-social game marketing angles.
