Andrew Merkin, Head of Special Projects and Transmedia at Mirada Studios, will deconstruct the decision-making process behind the successful and the non-successful business models for apps that serve as extensions of a storytelling narrative. The entire app production process will be covered. From concept and narrative development through design and programming, onto final market release and marketing, he will explain how each budgeted dollar translates into content in the app, and will describe pricing models that enrich the entire entertainment experience.
Takeaway
Attendees will all be able to translate the creative/production process into business/marketing oriented strategies. They will understand competitive forces and the need for marketing within the information economy. They will also gain an understanding of pricing models and their effect on UX, and connect business/marketing perspectives in the UX/UI of apps.
