Description
We close out this year's Summit with a segment on designing for the blue ocean. We start with three postmortems on games which pushed the design envelope into blue ocean territory. - Introduction - Women's Murder Club - Build-A-Lot - Camp Fu Finally, we have what we hope will be both an entertaining and enlightening finish to the day: the Blue Design Challenge. Three designers were recently given design criteria for a casual game. They'll present their designs. A panel of judges representing publishers and portals will vote in secret, by assigning a pile of development budget dollars between the three games. Next, judges and contestants will together discuss and critique all the ideas. Then we'll let all of you vote (via applause) on your favorite design. Finally, we'll reveal the judge's secret votes. * Challenger #1: Jason Kapalka * Challenger #2: Nick Fortugno * Challenger #3: Todd Kerpelman * Judges: Ofer Leidner, John Welch, Dan Prigg
