Description: A client based implementation of IMS enabled multiplayer gaming is presented. IMS is used for presence, friend lists and in-game communication. The game clients communicate directly through the IMS system, and no game or application server is required. The audience is shown how they can use IMS to access common network enablers that provide presence, instant messaging, push-to-talk and group-list management. The presented solution is based on open standards and runs on smart phones, feature phones as well as PCs. An overview and roadmap of other scenarios for IMS enabled multiplayer gaming is presented and discussed. The audience is also provided with references to more information on IMS and application development.
