Description
As the serious games space expands more organizations are seeking to commission games. As this happens there is a marked increase in the use of traditional RFP processes to determine who will develop a game and exactly what might be developed. This session is designed to help both sides in the RFP process as it features panelists who have had to develop and then evaluate RFPs for large organizations. The goal of this panel is to improve the dialogue around four critical issues of concern to the serious games field: 1. How to author an RFP so that game developers can provide their best work back in the form of their proposal. 2. How to evaluate RFP submissions and game developers to pick the best from a pool of subsequent applicants. 3. What makes for great RFP submissions by game developers? 4. How to improve the overall process of publishing, promoting, and evaluating serious game RFPs as a general means of improving serious games outcomes. Included in this session will be several example case studies of RFPs issued over the last year in the serious games space and the results of those RFP processes.
